About me

Canadian born and classically trained, award-winning Choreographer, Janice Roy Mundy settled in Australia after a long professional dance & production career. She lives on the Sunshine Coast with her Aussie husband and 2 sons. Her background will take you from the Award shows of Los Angeles to athletic stunt work in Japan, the International World Dance for Peace in Italy to the Theatres of Australia. Running a full-time dance and water sport facility, she and her husband Dean toured nationally with their watersports & stunts production company for many years. Freelance teacher and choreographer for 35 years. Artistic Director of 2 Fulltime Dance studios in NSW & QLD, Janice now devotes her time and practice to training instructors and therapists to follow in her work. She created Posture Positive over 20 years ago where it began as body conditioning training program for elite dancers and athletes that progressed into a wellness centre for the general public. She is a certified Fascial Kinetics Bowen Therapy Practitioner and has also developed her own soft tissue modality of Deep Fascial Release Therapy.

Whether it’s from your own home or on location, these 2 certifications, Aerial Hammocks together with Fascial Release Therapy create the basis for your own wellness centre for healing. My focus is creative movement, posture, technique, and energy. These key ingredients are what benefits us all as unique individuals. I hope I’m able to inspire the art and ability of healing that lies within us all, mentally, physically and spiritually.”

Her qualifications in movement extend to Master Aerial Instructor Certification, trainer and educator of Aerial Body Conditioning, Pilates & Yoga, registered advanced teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance, International RAD Guest Teacher, Tutor & Teachers Training Mentor, Certificate of Ballet Teaching Studies. She holds the Elementary certificate in Dance Education Syllabus in Classical Ballet, National Character, Benesh Movement Notation & Intermediate Certificate, British Association of Teachers of Dance.

Janice has proudly been a presenter, mentor, guest speaker at National Invention Convention provided by Questacon, The Australian Science Centre’s and CSIRO, running 5 years. A program designed to assist in the development of business enterprise and intellectual property within Australia.
